Spring Update!

May 02, 2017

Hello! Thank you again for your generosity!

We have completely analyzed the data and have submitted our first paper regarding the relationship between food insecurity and eating disorders to the International Journal of Eating Disorders.

We are also working with Dr. Middlemass to complete papers on policy in relation to food insecurity as well.

Your donations truly paid off.

Thanks again!

And the grand total is....

December 19, 2016

After 30 days of fundraising, we are happy to report that we exceeded or initial goal of $5,000 and have raised a total of $8,149 with the help of 86 donors. That's 162% of our goal!! Thanks to everyone who supported this project. Your support will allow us to move into Phase II of the Food Insecurity Project. Thanks again for all your help!

Sincerely,

The Food Insecurity Lab

We're almost there!!

December 06, 2016

We are over 75% of the way to our new $10,000 goal with a week to go!

We are down to our final week of fundraising and wanted to provide another update. We are really excited to report that we have raised over $7500 thanks to the generosity of our donors. So we have raised 100% of the money needed to fund one student over the summer and we are 50% of the way to go on a second student.

We again want to thank all of our generous donors. We are so grateful for your support!!!!

If you haven’t contributed, there is still time!! We have a week to go before this campaign ends, so please join us in addressing the mental health concerns of those who do not have enough food. You simultaneously get to help students gain valuable research experience.

Let's fund a second student for a summer of research!!

November 29, 2016

We are thrilled to report that after two weeks we have met and exceeded our initial fundraising goal of $5,000!! We are so grateful to our generous supporters. THANK YOU!!

Our initial goal will provide necessary support for one student to work on this project full time over the summer. Check out the video to reveal the lucky student!

Optimally, students work in teams while conducting field research. Let's work together to secure enough funding for a second student to work on this project over the summer. If you have given, please share information about this campaign with your network. If you haven't given, there is still plenty of time to make a big difference both in a student’s life and in moving this project forward.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!!!

We're off to a great start!!

November 18, 2016

In less than 5 days, we have reached 75 percent of our initial fundraising goal. We are off to a great start!!! THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE DONOR! We are so grateful for your generosity.

We wanted to share with you more details on how your contributions will advance the food insecurity research project. The first $5,000 raised will allow us to provide compensation to one student over the summer so they can conduct research full time. Again, thank you!!

If we are able to surpass our $5,000 goal, we will begin to cover the costs for multiple students to participate in our research program and effectively move into Phase II of our research. If you have not yet contributed, there is still time to do so and to make a difference. We still need everyone’s support.

Thank you again for your support and generous assistance. Please share information about this project widely, and have a happy holiday weekend.
